Crooked Ink Clothing launches Fite Club 2 for Summer 2007

Crooked Ink, a division of NYC based Urban Connexion Group, introduces Fight Club 2 for Summer 2007. The new cultural, eastern inspired collection is a timeless representation of urban fashion at its best. Expect to see blinged and studded out brass knuckles along with gold metallic stitchings, korean crystals printed on tees and premium denim. The line itself was established in the late 90’s by Mark Brown aka M.A.B. and David Saulters, former designer for Phat Farm. MAB later passed away from Hodgkin’s disease and left behind his dreams, aspirations, and tremendous ideas. In his efforts to continue MAB’s dream of having a successful urban clothing line, Dave Saulters later went on to partner up with MJ Gottlieb, fashion guru and controversial urbanite to brand Crooked Ink in order to interpret urban culture and a way of life, a way of life that MAB would have wanted for his only son he left behind.

Crooked Ink allocates proceeds from the line to not only support MAB’s son but also supports MJ’s non for profit organization, The Forgotten Souls Foundation Inc., the very first vertical upwardly mobile program that reaches the homeless and disenfranchised through creative expression.

Crooked Ink is not only a brand but it is also a movement. The message behind Fite Club is not to promote the act of fighting but is intended to stand for fighting for peace, fighting for pride, and fighting for having your voice heard regardless of race, color or creed.

Suggested retail on the political tees range anywhere from $25-$30 and are seen on virtually every celebrity in the industry including Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg, R-Kelly, Master P, Slim Thug, Young Joc, Trick Daddy, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Kid Capri, Ed Lover, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Irie, DJ Khaled, and Rick Ross with placements on CW’s Hip Hop Holdem, BET’s 106 & Park, Rap City, and HBO’s The Wire. Crooked Ink Clothing can be founds in retail chains such as Dr. Jays, Up Against the Wall, Trends, Fines, Against All Odds, and Deveroes to name a few.
