New age digital hip hop label, Hoodgrown Records has just launched a new blog, My Hood, which will detail the struggle of the underfunded hip hop label in it’s quest to utilize unique marketing strategies and the internet in order to bring it’s music to masses.

“I got the idea from a recent post on Coolfer.” said Chris English, CEO of Hoodgrown Records. “I’m an expert at innovative ways to market over the internet but I’m also hoping that those who read the blog will be able to come up with some ideas as well and see things that I may have overlooked.”

The blog will be updated daily and detail Hoodgrown Records as it prepares it’s first release, from hip hop producer Cartel, entitled “Prepare For Glory”. Scheduled for release on June 28th, “Prepare For Glory” will be released on CD and as a FREE download from the Hoodgrown Records website.
