Balkan Beat Box’s latest album, Nu Med, is available digitally now, two weeks in advance of physical stores. The album finds everyone’s favorite world music hipsters imagining a
Middle East without borders, incorporating Arabic, Gypsy, and Jewish musics into dance-floor rhythms spanning genres (including electronic, reggae, hip hop, and klezmer) and languages. The approach has earned them fans of all stripes.

An exclusive bonus version of Nu Med is available on iTunes, featuring an extra track titled “Ramallah Tel Aviv.” The album is also currently featured on iTunes World Music page.

Balkan Beat Box is on the second leg of their sold-out tour, previewing Nu Med for audiences nationwide. The band has launched a remix contest with iMeem, Ableton and URB Magazine allowing fans to download acapella and instrumental versions of two separate tracks and create their personal takes on the songs. All remixes will be featured on the band’s iMeem page, and lucky winners will receive one of three prizes from Ableton and JDub Records.
