INFO: From the birth of hip-hop to graffiti artists, deejays and street poets, the beat of urban art, takes readers into an unprecedented visual journey of the ever-changing urban landscape of the past 30 years through the eyes of Justin BUA.

During the New York of the 1970’s and 1980’s. Documenting his own turbulent youth in the underground world of the urban jungle, BUA’s distinct style, “Distorted Urban Realism,” captivates the hearts and minds of collectors across the world, including numerous celebrities and dignitaries, including numerous celebrities and dignitaries including Eva Longoria, Bill Clinton, Robert Deniro, Will Smith and Whoopi Goldberg.

BUA grew up in Manhattan and Brooklyn, NY and attended Manhattan’s Fiorello H. Laguardia HS of music & art and performing arts. He started his career creating slick bottom paintings for the skateboard industry. Over the years, BUA has designed CD covers for Warner Brothers, Sony and BMG Music; he’s animated the opening title sequence for MTV’ “the lyricist lounge show;” created a pilot for his animated series, “Urbania,” currently in development at Comedy Central; he developed EA’s video game NBA street and designed a line of PF Flyer sneakers for New Balance, selling out within hours of their release.
